I've been blocked by the security system, what do I do?

    Security is a priority at Smartflex and our servers are protected by aggressive firewalls. Suspicious activity such as repeated attempts to login to an account with the wrong password - will trigger a temporary (and eventually permanent) ban on the IP Address that is the source of the trouble.

    If you find yourself blocked by the firewall, it's very easy to remove yourself - simply log into your Smartflex account at http://smartflexsolutions.com/billing

    Once you login, the system will automatically check to see if the IP Address you are using is being blocked on any of our servers. If a block is found - it will be automatically removed. A message will be displayed notifying you of the block, why it was put in place - and that it has been removed.

    It is important to look at the reason for the block, if the same situation occurs again the firewall will block you again.

    The two most common reasons for an IP Address being repeatedly blocked are;
  1. An email client such as Outlook or Thunderbird - or a device such as a smartphone or tablet - has been incorrectly configured, and it's repeated attempts to login are triggering the firewall.
    Double check the settings of each of these - and make sure they are set to check for mail no more frequently than once every ten minutes.
  2. Some type of virus or malware is operating on your system and is attempting to connect to the server.
    Run a thorough scan of your computer to find any viruses or malware - and remove them.
